The White County High School Warriorettes’ Basketball team has started off with another strong week at Middle Tennessee State University’s team camp. The Warriorettes have gone 5-1 over the first two days of the week and will look to continue that strong showing with games on Thursday and Friday.

The Warriorettes started the week by going 2-1, on Monday, with wins over Notre Dame High School out of Chattanooga and Sullivan Central High School out of Blountville. The Warriorettes’ only loss so far this week came in the middle game, on Monday. Greenwood High School was the only team to beat the Warriorettes, and that game came down to the wire, and it took overtime to decide the winner.

On Tuesday, the Warriorettes went a perfect 3-0 on the day winning games against Maplewood High School, Pickens High School from South Carolina, and Smith County.

After the game on Tuesday, head girls’ basketball coach Michael Dodgen had this to say about his team’s performance so far at camp, “We are continuing to get better. But we still must be better both mentally and do the right things. Our progress is getting better every time we step on the floor, and I can tell the improvement from our girls from the first play day at Cannon County to now.”

The Warriorettes will finish up their week, on Thursday, with two varsity games and four junior varsity games. The Warriorettes will then close out the week and their summer schedule with two varsity games, on Friday.
