3 children, 1 adult suffer burns in Clark Street fire

At approximately 2:15 p.m., June 30, 2025, emergency services  personnel were dispatched to Clark Street, in Sparta. There was a house fire reported, and, by the time emergency services arrived, the smoke was spreading out over Bockman Way. There were four major injuries on the scene.

A father and three younger children were injured in the fire, and all four were taken to Vanderbilt Burn Center. Within the hour of arrival, fire departments got the house fire under control. There are no further details at this time. The house fire is an ongoing investigation.

BonDeCroft Fire Department has set up a donation fund for the families that were affected by the fire. On their Facebook page at “BonDeCroft Volunteer Fire Department,” they give the number 931-256-5451 to call and donate for the victims.

    There was another adult male who sustained 2nd degree burns to his feet during the fire as well. He was transported to Ascension Saint Thomas Highlands but was released. This was a house that was turned into a duplex by the landlord. There were 2 families who were affected by this traumatic situation.
