April LaShane Saylors, age 47 of Sparta, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
She was born July 26, 1978, in Cookeville, Tennessee, and she was the daughter of Bobby and Ruth Howard Saylors.
April was a teacher and taught for 23 years at the White County Middle and High School. She was one special lady who loved the Lord, and if you knew her, you'd believe it.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Wesley Welch and Gerti Saylors, Richard Herbert, and Willie Mozell Howard; uncles, Marvin Saylors, Sam Saylors, and Richard Keith Howard.
She is survived by her loving parents, Bobby and Ruth Saylors of Sparta, TN; aunts, Virginia Saylors of Sparta, TN, Neid Young (James) of Sparta, TN, and Linda Howard of Coble, TN; cousins, J.R. Young, Lynn Ford, Marvin Saylors, Sue Jolly, Jeff Saylors, Angela Manus, Michelle Saylors, Tim Saylors, and several others also survive, as well as special friends and neighbors, Angela, Stacey, and Logan Prater and Amanda Randolph.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at Oak Lawn Funeral Home with Brice Murphy officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Cemetery in Cassville. The family will welcome friends on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers to serve are Marvin Saylors, Steve Sullivan, Alex Savage, Adam Jones, Jonathan Demps, and Stacey Prater.
