Barbara Diane Kirby, 66, of Sparta, passed away Sept. 7, 2021, at Saint Thomas Highlands Hospital, in Sparta.
Mrs. Kirby was born Oct. 3, 1954, in Gainesboro.
She loved to sing, watch Hallmark movies, and spend time with her grandchildren. Most importantly, she loved the Lord.
Mrs. Kirby was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Eugene Kirby.
Survivors include her parents, James and Ella Mai Allen, of Sparta; daughters, Melissa Howard Hash, of Sparta, Michelle Mitchell Mullican (Tim Mullican), of Sparta; stepdaughters, Jeanina “Nina” Stoglin, Katrina Kirby, both of Sparta; sister, Brenda Allen Fields, of Oak Ridge; grandchildren, Hannah Howard, Leah Mullican, Sarah Mullican, Molly Mullican, Ethan Parks, Aaron Shoupe; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and numerous family members and friends.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Sept. 11, 2021, Oak Lawn Funeral Home, with burial in Oak Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Sept. 11, at the funeral home.
The family of Mrs. Kirby asks that all attendees please wear a mask and practice social distancing due to COVID.
