Barbara Jean Stewart Allen, 84, passed away Jan. 1, 2024, in Franklin.
She was born on April 18, 1939, in Sparta, to James Horace and Effie Masters Stewart.
Barbara was a beloved daughter and loving mother. She loved Jesus, her family, and was an avid reader.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Frances Newby.
She is survived by her son, Scott (Victoria Wei) Allen; two daughters, Karen (Patrick) Harris, Diane Allen; granddaughter, Layla Allen-Wei; and nephew, Robert (Bethany) McClurkan.
Funeral service was 2:30 p.m., Jan. 5, 2024, at Thurman Funeral Home, with burial in Old Zion Cemetery. Bro. Ronnie Pittenger officiated.
Thurman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
