Bennie Joe McDonald, 77, of Doyle, passed away Oct. 15, 2024, at the Alvin C. York Veterans’ Administration Medical Center, in Murfreesboro.
He was born Jan. 25, 1947, in Doyle, to Joe Gordon McDonald and Clara Mae Rice McDonald, who preceded him in death.
He was also preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Patsy McDonald.
Bennie Joe served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his son, Brandon McDonald and wife Stacie; daughter, Bethnie Fox and husband Jim; grandchildren, Kalie McDonald, Taylor McDonald, Braden McDonald; and two sisters, Janice Cole and husband Ralph and Judy Thomas.
A private graveside service was officiated by Bryce Murphy at Doyle Cemetery, with full military honors.
Pallbearers were Brandon McDonald, Braden McDonald, Jim Fox, and Bethnie Fox
