Billy Virgil Polston, 82, of Cookeville, passed away July 29, 2024, at Church of Christ Care Center, in Clinton Township, Michigan.
Bill was born Nov. 4, 1941, in Sparta, to Virgil Mansfield and Rosa Kinnaird Polston.
He worked at a variety of manufacturing plants, in Michigan, before retiring to White County.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann Chaney Polston, who died Feb. 18, 2015; two brothers, Cecil Polston, Cleater Joe Polston; and special nephew, Bryce Polston.
Surviving family members include his two sons, Jeff Polston, Steve Polston and wife Colleen, of Michigan; three grandchildren, Amanda, Noah, and Joshua Polston; sister-in-law, Carol Teel; brother-in-law, Marty Chaney and wife Dyane; nieces, Brenda Hall Ransom and husband Ron, Deanna Patrick and husband Dave, Kristen Kiss and husband Tommy, Lisa Curtis, Sadie Chaney; two nephews, Rick Polston and wife Kellie, Danny Curtis; two great-nieces; and one great-nephew.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Aug. 8, 2024, at Hunter Funeral Home, with burial in Nash Cemetery. Doyle Crawford and Larry Acuff will officiate. The family will receive friends 4-8 p.m., Aug. 7, at the funeral home.
