Bonnie Castina Chacon, 69, of the Johnson's Chapel community of DeKalb County, while at Tristar Centennial Medical Center, in Nashville, on June 16, 2021, went home to be with the Lord.

She was born May 31, 1952, to Refus and Ressie "Bill" Luna.

Mrs. Chacon worked for 22 years at Kitchen Craft/Smithport Cabinetry in the front office.  She was a member of New Life United Pentecostal Church. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Dwight Luna. 

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Gelasie "Marco" Chacon, of the Johnson's Chapel community; two children, Erick Dodd and fiancée Taylor Youngblood, Angel Chacon, all of the Johnson’s Chapel community; brother, Larry (Angie) Luna, of the Johnson's Chapel community; and special friends, Kristy Kennen, Linda Herman, and Bruce (Sherril) Cunningham.

 Graveside service and interment will be 10 a.m., June 19, 2021, at Peeled Chestnut Cemetery. Bro. Dwayne Cornelius and Bro. Elmore Judd will officiate.  There will not be any visitation at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to DeKalb Funeral Chapel to help with funeral expenses, in memory of Mrs. Chacon.

DeKalb Funeral Chapel, in Smithville, is in charge of arrangements.
