Bruce Allen Richardson, affectionately known as "Big Pa," age 64, of Sparta, passed away Jan. 25, 2024, as a result of an automobile accident.
Bruce was born Oct. 26, 1959, in Sparta, to John and Della Mae Brown Richardson. Bruce was a long-time employee of Precision Molding where he worked as a department manager. Bruce loved sports with his grandkids and was a devoted family man.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Jean Richardson; sister, Tammy Hanna; brother, Glen Richardson; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, William and Phyllis Smith.
Survivors include his wife of 46, years Linda Richardson; daughter, Kristy (Chris) Adams; son, Bryan (Kappie) Richardson; grandchildren, Owen and Griffin Adams, Jocelynn Price, Wesly Young, Ella, Brody and Olive Richardson; brothers, Bob (Lisa) Richardson, Ronnie (Melissa) Richardson; sister, Rita Young; stepbrothers, Ricky and Farron Miller; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral service was 1 p.m., Jan. 30, 2024, at Life Church-Sparta, with burial in Eastland Cemetery. Steve Qualls and Christian McHenry officiated.
Pallbearers were Bryan Richardson, Chris Adams, Owen Adams, Griffin Adams, Wesly Young, Jason Yott, Maddux Yott, and Randy Wallace.
Hunter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
