Calling All Historians

Tennessee Tech History major Alexander Lambert has been working for the historical zoning commission to create a website that chronicles the history of Sparta's historic square. During this work, he has opened the project up for the community to send submissions with their stories, pictures, etc. The project also aims to capture the modern-day businesses that are operating on the square with their stories and pictures. Already taking to Facebook, he has made some posts but would like to obtain more assistance from the community.

As of right now, the website is not live yet but will become live when this project is finished.  Included in this article are some screenshots that reflect the efforts going into this project.

As of now, Alexander has spent about 200 hours working on this project and is dedicated to having community involvement for a bigger picture of the history of Sparta.  Both past and present business owners are encouraged to help with this project as well.

For anyone having submissions to present, please email them to Alexander Lamber at spartatnhistory@outlook.com. Not only does Alexander, but the Expositor team also thank you in advance for assisting with helping bring the history of our town to life once again.
