Catholine Marie Mason Ownby, affectionately known as Cathy, age 62, of Lake Tansi, passed away Dec. 19, 2024, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Cathy was born Jan. 9, 1962, in Crab Orchard, to John Vinas and Juanita Olma Boles Mason.
She was a former employee of Moeller, in Sparta, until the birth of her daughter, Heather. Then, she was a proud mother and homemaker. Cathy enjoyed being at home with her dog Teddy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Nastassja Ownby, and four siblings.
Survivors include her daughter, Heather McDougal and husband Dusty, of Crossville; brother, Bill Mason; and sister, Luella Goodman.
Hunter Funeral Home has been entrusted with Cathy’s cremation, and no public services are planned.
Hunter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
