He was an United States Air Force veteran, retiring Captain (Mustang), in 1983. He was proud of his individual accomplishments at NBHA events. During this same time, he taught at Oakland City University where he developed and led the Criminal Justice program.

After the passing of his wife, Linda (46 years), he moved to the next phase: motorcycles, recreational vehicles, boating, real estate, and a new love, Debbie Goines, and eventually moving to Sparta for the past eight years.

Chuck was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend and will be missed by all who knew him.
