Charles Jackson “Jackie” Dudley, 65, of Sparta, passed away July 16, 2021, in Murfreesboro.
Mr. Dudley was born Nov. 23, 1955, in Albany, Georgia, to Charles and Sue Dudley.
He loved hunting, fishing, Alabama football, wrestling, and grilling. One of his greatest accomplishments was 24 years sobriety and loving every moment spent with family and loved ones. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson and new fishing buddy in Heaven, Korbin Dudley.
Surviving family include his wife, Lisa Dudley, of Sparta; sons, Charles “Chuck” Dudley, of Bloomington Springs, Daniel Dudley (Megan), of Woodbury; daughters, Erin Guy, of Roanoke, Alabama, Jennifer Rowland (Stanley), of Roanoke, Alabama, Ashley Fox (Chance), of Cookeville; grandchildren, Arainna, Alyssa, Ariel, Allie, Kelvin, Kyle, Aiden, Jackson, Carson, Stephen, Addly; brother, Larry Vowell (Alma), of Maryland; sister, Susanne Lumpkin (Tommy), of Mt. Juliet; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be at a later date.
Oak Lawn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
