Clara Ray Miller, 75, passed away July 17, 2025
She was born Oct. 21, 1949, to Notie Ruth Bumbalough Norton and Harold Lee Norton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son- in-law, John Williams; her brother, Gary Norton; and her sister, Patricia Ann Norton.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Robert Lee Miller; brothers, Anthony (Pam) Norton, Paul Norton; daughters, Brenda Williams, Patricia (Darrel) Nash; grandchildren Shana (Bobby) Steerman, Shane (Lindsay) Williams, Justin Nash; great-grandchildren, Michael Williams, Peyton Steerman, Adalyn Steerman, Autumn Steerman, all of Sparta; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and special friends.
She was loved by everyone. She lived for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
The family hosted a celebration of life at 2 p.m., July 21, 2025, at Gum Springs Baptist Church. Bro. Bo Hendrix officiated. A separate private ceremony for the burial of her cremains will be held at a later date.
Thurman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
