Corena E. Ashburn Brock, 86, of Sparta, passed away Dec. 21, 2024, at home.
She was born April 2, 1938, in DeKalb County, to Allie and Virda Dunn-Ashburn.
Corena was a homemaker and a proud Christian woman. She attended Old Zion Cumberland Presbyterian Church for 45 years.
In addition to her parents, he was preceded in death by her husband, Willis “Mutt” Dale Brock; son, James Willard Brock; and brother, HeLious Ashburn.
She is survived by her son, Jerry Dale Brock, of Sparta; daughter-in-law, Patty Brock, of Smithville; sisters-in-law, Ann Brock, of Sparta, Dot Brock, of Georgetown, Anna Ruth Prater, of Sparta; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was 1 p.m., Dec. 26, 2024, at Oak Lawn Funeral Home, with burial in Plainview-Cassville Cemetery. Pastor Barry Boggs officiated.
Oak Lawn Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
