Donna Jean Dennis Dilldine, 81, of Sparta, passed away Feb. 21, 2025, at her residence, surrounded by family.
Donna was born March 23, 1943, in Sparta, to Gladys Dennis. Donna had a work career that spanned from factory work to ultimately retiring from Walmart after 11 years of service. She spent some of her retirement years keeping Hunter Funeral Home clean and ready to serve families. She enjoyed her summer months sunbathing next to her pool. She loved to keep a clean house and loved her dog, but her greatest love was for her family and especially the ones that knew her as Granny.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her son, Timothy Allen “Timmy” Pryor, who passed away Jan. 31, 2018; grandson, Ken O’Conner; and brother, Leonard Dennis.
Surviving family members left to cherish her memory include her son, Jerry (Rhonda) Pryor, of Sparta; daughter, Teresa O’Conner, of Michigan; daughter, Tina Dilldine, of Sparta; grandchildren, Chad (April) Pryor, Trish (Jason) Carner, Jennifer Shurga, Tom O’Conner, Eysha (Adam) Smith, Courtney (Lee) Chavez; 15 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Shirley Hill, Marvene Dodson, and Lois Gilbert.
Funeral service was 2 p.m., Feb. 21, 2025, at Hunter Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Cemetery. Clint Walker officiated. Junior Jones, Scott Vincent, Chad Pryor, Tom O’Conner, Bob Welker, Adam Smith, and Trenton Pryor served as pallbearers
Hunter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
