Doris J. Mace Ward, 68, of Cookeville, passed away Aug. 13, 2023.
Doris was born Nov. 21, 1954, in Sparta. She was the daughter of Johnny Mace and Beulah Dillon Mace.
Doris was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her son, John “Junebug” Ward; great-granddaughter, Emma Brown; two brothers, Herbert Mace, Mickey Mace; and three sisters, Betty, Nancy, and Lucy.
Doris is survived by her husband of 51 years, Wesley Ward; three daughters, Teresa Ward, Lisa Ward (Sean Eldridge), Brenda Bumbalough and husband Ron; 10 grandchildren, Brittany, Brandon, Kylar, Jacqueline, Austin, Haley, Danny, Mistie, Carrie, Jessica; 14 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Millie, Lennie, Wilma; two brothers, Ricky, Leeroy; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Aug. 17, 2023, at Crest Lawn Funeral Home, in Cookeville, with burial in Crest Lawn Cemetery. Bro. Myron Greer will officiate. Visitation with the family will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Aug. 17, at the funeral home.
