Driver reportedly fails to stop

A two-vehicle crash last week was reportedly caused by one vehicle failing to stop for the traffic light.

According to a report from Tennessee Highway Patrol, at approximately 6:13 p.m., Dec. 7, 2023, Mary N. Bain, 43, was driving a 2015 Dodge Caravan and turned left from South Church Street onto West Bockman Way.

Steven J. Hylsky, 43, was driving a 2023 Chevy Tahoe, traveling east on West Bockman Way.

According to the report, as the two vehicles entered the intersection, Hylsky failed to stop for the traffic light and struck Bain’s Dodge Caravan on the driver’s side.

Hylsky’s vehicle came to rest in the intersection, while Bain’s vehicle came to a controlled stop on the westbound side.

According to the report, Hylsky was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured. Bain was also wearing a seatbelt and was not injured.
