McMinnville resident and White County native Elijah Richard Poore, age 84, was born April 29, 1937 and died Nov. 24, 2021, at his residence, following an extended illness.
A veteran of the United States Army and retired supervisor from Century Electric (Magnetek), he was the son of Arthur Poore and Beulah Bice Poore. He was married to Elizabeth Angel Poore, of McMinnville, on Jan. 20, 1961.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Poore is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Louise Poore, of Sparta, of the Cassville community, and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside service and interment will be held at 2 p.m., Nov. 27, 2021, at New Hope Cemetery, in the Cassville community, of White County, Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., Nov. 27, at High Funeral Home, in McMinnville.
