Emmaline Frances Webb, 54, of Sparta, passed from this life Jan. 12, 2022, at her residence.
She was born July 12, 1967, in White County, to James and Laura Webb.
Emmaline was known to many as “Emmer,” Mama Emmaline, Sgt. Webb, but her favorite was “Nana.” The love she had for her grandbabies was no secret. Emmaline attended school, in Sparta, and was a member of the Class of 1985. Emmaline was employed by Bledsoe County Correctional Facility where she held the position of sergeant. She was loved dearly by those she worked with, even the inmates.
Emmaline was preceded in death by her son, Joshua Webb; her mother, Laura A. Webb; and a sister.
Survivors include her father, James Thomas “Bear Track” Webb, of Sparta; daughter, Quonisha Webb, of Sparta; grandchildren, Devin Lawera, Ayrianna Webb, of Sparta; and sister, Dorothy Cullom, of Sparta. She leaves to cherish her memory numerous cousins, including special cousin Tina Wright, of Sparta, and all those whom she came in contact with over the years, and special friends, Mildred (Michael) Blackstone.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Jan. 22, 2022, at Thurman Funeral Home, with burial in Davis Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Jan. 22, at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Cpl. Mark Eldridge, Sgt. Jay Yearwood, Unit Manager Nicole Siems, Correction Officer Wade Siems, Lt. Dustin Brown, and Capt. Michael Briggs.
Honorary pallbearers will be Sgt. Justin McDonald, Sgt. Jeremiah Bowman, Capt. Ronnie Dodson, Samuel Culley, and Trevin Wright.
Thurman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
