Frances Johnson, 86, of Walling, passed away Dec. 8, 2023, at NHC Healthcare of Sparta.
She was born March 1, 1937, in Sparta, and was the daughter of Luther Humphrey and Mary Hawkins Humphrey.
Frances enjoyed being outside and enjoying nature, gardening, and canning.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie Johnson; daughter, Monica S. Johnson; and brother, James Humphrey.
Survivors include her nieces, Legina Humphrey, of Walling, Lisa Allison (Greg), of Sparta, Jaime Winnett (James), of Sparta; brother, Joe Lee Humphrey, of Walling; and several cousins, friends, and neighbors.
Funeral service was 1 p.m., Dec. 12, 2023, at Oak Lawn Funeral Home, with burial in Oak Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ken Geer, Charles Hawkins, Chris Simmons, Bill Hawkins, Keith Hawkins, and Nate Card.
Honorary pallbearers were Wayne Marion and Cayce Wright.
Oak Lawn Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
