Franklin Duayne Hood, better known as Frank, 69, of Sparta, passed away unexpectedly, on June 1, 2025, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
Frank was born Jan. 18, 1956, in Cleveland, Tennessee, to William and Betty Rhea Hood.
He was a former construction worker and a Jack-of-all trades. He was proficient in plumbing and electrical work. Frank proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He dedicated his retirement years to fishing and spending time with is grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Wanda Hood.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Deborah Ann Mason Hood; two sons, Michael Timothy Walsh, Andrew Josphet Hood; daughter, Kevlin Michelle Hood; five grandchildren; and sister, Judy Hood.
In honor of Frank's wishes, Hunter Funeral Home was entrusted with his cremation. No public services were planned.
