Frank Jones, 80, of Sparta, passed away Aug. 6, 2024, at Ascension Saint Thomas Highlands, in Sparta.
Mr. Jones was a member of Johnson’s Chapel Baptist Church. He worked as a truck driver for Moore’s Chip, was owner of Thomasview Market, and also owned and managed rental property.
He was born May 18, 1944, in Smithville, to Leftrick and Elizabeth Ashburn Jones.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five siblings, Rosell Robinson, Oneida Massa, Joe Jones, Clara Nell Stoglin, and Roy Jones.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Jo Ann Jones, of Sparta; sister-in-law, Lou Jones, of Sparta; two nieces, Vicki (Paul) Jarvis, of Lebanon, Lori (Josh) Holloway, of Sparta; one nephew, Steven Mark Jones, of Sparta; four great-nieces, Raychel Jarvis, of Lebanon, Jennifer Ward (Brad Johnson), of Baxter, Marley Jones and Lauren Holloway, both of Sparta; one great-nephew, Luke Holloway, of Sparta; four great-great nephews, Blake Lockwood, of Lebanon, Maddox Ward and Roman Ward and Wesley Johnson, all of Baxter; and special friends, Hunter Mullican and Eddie (Faye) Hutchings. all of Sparta.
Funeral service was 1 p.m., Aug. 9, 2024, at Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, in Sparta, with burial in Johnson’s Chapel Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Jones’ memory to Johnson’s Chapel Cemetery.
