Fred was born Sept. 5, 1942, in Sparta, to Fred and Ethel Cope Howell.
Funeral service will be 3 p.m., May 5, 2023, at Hunter Funeral Home, with burial in Old New Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1-3 p.m., May 5, at the funeral home.
Hunter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
