Gary Lynn Humphrey Jr., born May 12, 1970, to Gary Humphrey Sr. and Lubecca Humphrey, passed away suddenly, on Sept. 3, 2025.
A devoted son, brother, and friend, Gary is survived by his loving mother, Lubecca Humphrey; his sister, Krystle Dotson (Adam); and the special children he cherished as nieces, Trista, Abby, and Savanna. He is also survived by his grandmother, Treva Poss; his aunt, Peggy Goodwin (Gerald); his uncles, Royce Poss (Diania) and Michael Poss (Karyl); and many beloved cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Humphrey Sr.
Gary was a true family man whose greatest joy came from caring for those he loved. He had a generous heart and a gentle spirit that touched everyone who knew him. His calling as a nurse in nursing homes revealed his gift for compassion, especially in caring for the elderly. His kindness, patience, and devotion brought comfort and dignity to countless lives.
Gary’s legacy of love and selflessness will continue to live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were blessed to know him.
Graveside service was 3 p.m., Sept. 5, 2025, at Plainview Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery, in the Cassville community. Lifelong friend Charles Curtiss officiated.
Oak Lawn Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
