GFWC Supports Teachers through Donation

The GFWC Sparta Women’s Club has always supported education, with some members being retired teachers themselves. Three teachers across the county, each at a different school, received a check from the women’s group for their continued efforts to support education across White County. The three lucky teachers were as follows:

• Lexie Brewington – 5th Grade, Doyle Elementary
• Kaitlyn Cannon – 4th Grade, Woodland Park
• Jayde Copeland – Biology, White County High School

Sherry Hickey and Kaye Barlow presented the checks, each for $150, to the three teachers, and they are proud of all the new educators who have been working hard this school year.
