Goodbye to K-9 Officer Reno

From Sheriff Steve Page: It is with deep regret that we had to say goodbye to K-9 Officer Reno this past weekend. Reno was born Sept. 16, 2010, and left this world on Aug. 18, 2023.

Reno joined the White County Sheriff's Department, on Sept. 10, 2012, and was certified as a single purpose K-9 tracker, in 2012. His loving and devoted handler, Lt. James Blankenship, later had Reno certified as a dual-purpose K-9. Reno tracked down many suspects and assisted in locating and seizing illegal narcotics and cash derived from the sale of illegal drugs. Reno will be missed by everyone here at the department and by all that cared for him.
