Alan Greyson Carr, age 46, of Sparta, Tennessee, passed away on October 27, 2025. He was born on February 4, 1979, to Lonnie and Carolyn Carr.
Greyson was a beloved son, devoted father, and loyal friend whose kindness and humor touched everyone who knew him. He grew up in Sparta and graduated from White County High School before earning his bachelor’s degree from Tennessee Tech University.
A proud supporter of the University of Tennessee, Greyson was an enthusiastic fan of all Volunteer sports—especially football. Saturdays in the fall were among his favorite times, cheering on his team with family and friends.
Greyson built a successful career in life insurance, where he found great fulfillment in helping and connecting with his clients. His sincerity, integrity, and care for others defined both his professional and personal life.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Carolyn Carr, parents, Lonnie and Carolyn Carr, sister Rena Carr and his nieces and nephews. Greyson’s warmth, laughter, and love will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
The funeral service will be held at Oaklawn Funeral Home on Monday November 3rd from 11:00-1:00 with the service at 1:00pm with burial to follow in Oak Lawn Memorial Cemetery to honor and remember Greyson’s life and legacy.
