Cooking on the Square to benefit Habitat for Humanity

Posted

Fall is in the air and preparation has begun for the 25th annual Cooking on the Square. Cooking on the Square is an opportunity for you to support UC Habitat for Humanity while enjoying delicious gumbo, jambalaya and other Cajun themed soups and stews.

Mark your calendars for 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Oct. 29, on the Cookeville ourthouse square. For those who like to have a jump on the event, there will be pre-sale tickets starting Oct. 4, at Smartbank, OneBank, First National Bank, Southeast Bank, First Volunteer Bank and Regions Bank. Ticket prices are $25 pre-sale and $30 at the door. Ticket sales will be limited this year, so be sure to grab yours early.

Your ticket purchase is a donation to UC Habitat for Humanity- with this donation you can choose a keepsake bowl while sampling soups from many local cooks. Bread, drink, and dessert are included, along with the chance to visit with your neighbors and enjoy the beginning of our lovely Tennessee fall.
