Helen Perry LaFever, 77, of Sparta, passed away Nov. 25, 2022, at Woodbury Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. LaFever was born Feb. 2, 1945, in Woodbury, to Johnny C. Perry and Ethel Bell Perry.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, U.L. LaFever.
She was retired as the co-owner of Center Hill Sports Marine. Mrs. LaFever was a member of Laurel Hill Baptist Church.
Funeral service was Nov. 28, 2022, at Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, with burial in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Bro. Tim Bumbalough officiated.
Survivors include her son, Eugene LaFever, of Sparta; granddaughter, Sahara “Sarabeth” LaFever, of Sparta; sister, Sue (Jimmy) Bryson, of Old Hickory; sister-in-law, Louisa (Jack) Phelps, of Nashville; brother-in-law, Calvin LaFever (Merle Sandlin), of Smithville; and niece and nephew, Amy (Jeff) Smith and Charles (Kelly) Bryson.
Pallbearers were Nelson Davis, Jamie Turner, Zach Roberts, Tyler Morton, Charles Bryson, and Dewain Luna.
Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, in Smithville, was in charge of arrangements.
