The 2026 White County High School Homecoming was originally scheduled for Friday, October 2, but recent changes were made to the schedule, prompting the game to be moved to Thursday, October 1, at 7:30 pm. This places the football game on the same day as the parade that starts at 5:30 pm.
With the excitement of homecoming every year, the community was not expecting such a change for this year's event. The change came in the form of a notification from Principal Greg Wilson with the details. This change in plans was the result of the expected weather for Friday evening that would have hindered the plans for such a great event. With all of the planning and effort put forth by the school system, students, and families, this change is appreciated to allow homecoming to not be interrupted or cancelled.
Now with a new date and time, White County's 2026 Homecoming came home a little early this year.
