James Mahan, 78, passed away June 6, 2025, in Cookeville.
James was born March 22, 1947, in White County, and was raised and lived there his entire life.
James was a woodworker for most of his life but later worked with his son, Kenneth, at Mahan’s Auto Salvage. He continued to be involved in the family business even after his retirement and could often be found there.

James was known for his hard work, helpful attitude, and the uncanny ability to always make people laugh.
