James Levi West, better known as Levi, 22, of Quebeck, passed away Aug. 15, 2023 at his residence.
Levi was born Sept. 28, 2000, in McMinnville.
He loved muscle cars and aspired to one day own his own muscle car shop. He enjoyed video games and being with his family.
Levi was preceded in death by his father, Lenard Ray “L.R.” West; maternal grandparents James “Buck” and Marylene Yates; and paternal grandparents, Leonard and Faye West.
Survivors include his mother, Leisa Yates, of Quebeck; sister, Meredith West Jones and husband Todd, of Sparta; two brothers, Matthew (Nicole) West, of Brentwood, Morgan (Kerri) West, of Sparta; second mother, Lisa West Whitehead and husband Gerry, of Cookeville; grandparents, Kermit and Lilly Vickers; uncles, John (Deb) West, Rickey Yates; aunt, Diana Carter; caregiver, Lora Cox; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral service was 1 p.m., Aug. 18, 2023, at Hunter Funeral Home, with burial in Anderson Cemetery. Bro. Mark Gaw and Bro. Tim Judd officiated.
Nathan West, John West, John Yates, Cameron Carter, Caleb Carter, and Zach Knowles served as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers were James Yates and Timmy Freeman .
Hunter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
