Jannie Diane Holder, 75, of Quebeck, passed away Dec. 6, 2024, at Saint Thomas West Hospital.
Jannie was born July 19, 1949, in McMinnville.
She retired from Federal Mogul, in Smithville, after many years at Dezurik, in McMinnville. Jannie had a passion for studying genealogy and researching families. She often had to battle technology because her computers could not often keep up with the information she had to document. Her favorite time spent was at her riverside home relaxing on her swing or working with her plants. Jannie leaves her family with many fond memories of listening to music whether at home, on road trips, or in her custom ordered white 1995 Camaro and just being Grandma to her beloved family.
Jannie was preceded in death by her mother, Wylodean Hash; father, Joe Donald Holder; and brothers Jerry Holder and Eddie Holder.
Surviving family members left to cherish her memory include her two daughters and their spouses, Janet and James Boyd, of Rock Island, Julie and Greg Baughman, of Bone Cave; grandchildren, Jaylen (Colby) Grissom, of Bone Cave, Jaythan Boyd, of Rock Island, Briar (Summer) Ward, of McMinnville, Ian McBride and Izzie Lusk, both of Bone Cave; great-granddaughter, Harper Ward; brother, Donald Lee Holder; and stepchildren, Vannessa McBride, of Irving College, Timothy and Caden Baughman, of Rock Island.
In honor of Jannie’s wishes, private graveside services were conducted at Jericho Cemetery, on Dec. 11, 2024.
