Jean Roberts, 88, of Sparta, passed away Nov. 23, 2023, at her home.
She was born July 13, 1935, in Sparta, and was the daughter of Clarence Victor Graham and Attie Bell Wilson Graham.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Leah Roberts, and brothers, T.C. Graham and J.C. Graham.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, J.V. Roberts, of Sparta; daughters, Dena Simmons (Mike), of Sparta, Hope Brown (Jim), of Sparta, Loel Thompson (Emory) of Sparta; grandchildren, Jill Thomas (Anthony), Jay Simmons (Mica), Alicia Baker (Bryan), Josh O'Connor, Jordan Brown (Andrea), Jinya Martin (Preston), Whitney Newport (Allen), Isaac Thompson (Cassidy); seven great-grandsons; and four great-granddaughters.
Funeral service was 11 a.m., Nov. 28, 2023, at North Sparta Church of God, with burial in Oak Lawn Cemetery. Emory Thompson officiated.
Pallbearers were Jay Simmons, Jordan Brown, Isaac Thompson, Josh O'Connor, Mike Simmons, and Jim Brown.
Honorary pallbearers were Will Thomas, Michael Baker, and Gabriel Baker.
Oak Lawn Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
