Jerry Lynn Smart, 67, of Sparta, passed away Sept. 17, 2024, at home.
Born June 27, 1957, in Denver City, Texas, he was the son of Verlous Smart and Evelyn Perry. He was the husband of the late Gloria Nell Smart.
He was a local business owner since 2007. He was proud to serve his country as part of the U.S. Army.
In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Nell Smart, and older brother, Gary Smart
Survivors include his children, Kirk Wayne Smart, of Lewisville, Texas, Rebecca Renee Aguilar, of Brackettville, Texas, Gloria Darlene McClain, of Waco, Texas; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandson, “Lil Man.”
The family is following Jerry’s wishes to be cremated. At this time, no services are planned.
Oak Lawn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
