John David "John John" Cloyd Jr., 57, of Sparta, passed away June 14, 2022, at his home.
John John was born Sept. 17, 1964, in Sparta, to John David Cloyd Sr. and Linda Sue Cope Cloyd.
He worked at Wagner Electric for over 35 years. John John was a member of Indian Mound Baptist Church. He was a farmer and an outdoorsman and dedicated over a decade to coaching youth sports. John John was truly the epitome of selfless love and took care of others before himself. He was a proud father and loving pa. Those who knew him knew the love he had for his family and God.
He was preceded in death by his father, John David Cloyd Sr.
Survivors include two sons, Josh Cloyd (Melissa), of Greenback, Chase Cloyd (Whitney), of Monterey; grandchildren, Reid Cloyd, Colin Cloyd; mother, Linda Sue Cloyd, of Sparta; brother, Joey Cloyd, of Sparta; and two sisters, Laurainda Hallums (Joe), of Sparta, and Lori Alexander, of Sparta.
He is also survived and loved by many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, neighbors of the Old Zion community, and his Wagner work family.
Funeral service will be 5 p.m., June 17, 2022, at Oak Lawn Funeral Home. Bro. Frank Randolph will officiate. The family will welcome friends 3-5 p.m., June 17, at the funeral home.
