It was a week of song and celebration across the county, as multiple groups got together to join in singing. From young to not-so-young, two notable examples include Cassville’s recent Christmas program, on Dec. 9, and First United Methodist Church, on Dec. 7.
First United Methodist had a Christmas Concert, including multiple choir groups to bring together generations. The WCHS Choir was there, of course, but also some alumni of the WCHS Choir were invited to join in as well. The church’s own choir also teamed up, leading to a three-group choir all sharing in song. The Children’s Choir also had their moment with Joy to the World! Mike Speck, Lari Goss, and Danny Zaloudik organized the event, and Goss also orchestrated the choirs during the performances.
Cassville Elementary School had its own Christmas program, too. Each grade got up to sing as a group, and it looked like everyone was having fun.
