Karen D. Hawes, 67, of Sparta, passed away Oct. 15, 2023, at Saint Thomas Midtown, in Nashville.
Karen was born June 20, 1956, to Clint and Dorothy Hoysradt, both of whom preceded her in death.
She was a veteran of the United States Navy.
Surviving family include her husband, Charles L. Hawes, of Sparta; daughters, Alison Boren (Clayton), of Orlando, Florida, Chloe Hawes Cook (Chase), of Nashville, Jesse Hawes Yorkin (Ian), of Memphis, Stacy Roeming (Steve), of Grandberry, Texas, Tracy Bassett (Don), of Mansfield, Texas; and grandson, Hudson Boren.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Oct. 20, 2023, at Oak Lawn Funeral Home, with burial in Oak Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Oct. 20, at the funeral home.
