Lee Edris Daniels Hunter, 78, of Sparta, better known as Edris to her family, passed away Dec. 4, 2024 at Saint Thomas Highlands Hospital, in Sparta.
Edris was born June 25, 1946, in Sparta, to Alford B. and Elsie Elizabeth Lowhorn Daniels. She had a career of custodial work and waitressing. Edris was a member of the Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Hunter; brother-in-law, Arnold Norris; and sister-in-law, Denise Daniels.
Survivors include her siblings, Faye Norris, Alford Ray and Linda Daniels, George and Rose Daniels, James Daniels, Hugh and Edna Daniels, Ronnie Daniels, all of Sparta; sisters-in-law, Katherine Holman, Karen Shanke; stepchildren, Hannah Justice, Rachel Hunter; special niece, Vickie Brady and husband Gary; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was 1 p.m., Dec. 10. 2024, at Hunter Funeral Home, with burial in Crest Lawn Cemetery. Bro. Ronnie Taylor officiated.
Ronald Daniels, Darrin Norris, Brad Daniels, Stephen Daniels, Tyler Brady, and Kyle Brady served as pallbearers.
Hunter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
