Lyda Ruth McCoy Burks, 86, best known as Ruth to her family and friends, of Fort Myers, Florida, passed away peacefully at home, on May 24, 2021, with her family by her side.
She was born Nov. 30, 1934, in the Black Oak community, of White County, the beautiful daughter of Carrie Lucille and Joe Patrick McCoy.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m., June 12, 2021, at Hunter Funeral Home, with burial in McCoy Cemetery. The family will receive friends after noon, on June 12, at the funeral home. Doug Benningfield will officiate.
