Mark Samuel Hicks, 66, of Sparta, passed away peacefully, on Jan. 14, 2024, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
Born Sept. 4, 1957, in Providence, Rhode Island, Mark grew to be a man of faith who cherished his relationship with the Lord.
Those who knew Mark will remember him as a loving, outgoing person with a positive attitude and someone who never hesitated to help others. After retiring, Mark enjoyed relaxing at home, ATV rides, cooking special dinners for friends, and he found great joy setting up fireworks displays for his neighbors.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Edna Cummings Hicks, and his siblings, Thomas Hicks, Edward Hicks, William Hicks, and Michelle Hicks.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Quaglieri Hicks; his siblings, Sharon Puerini, Crystal Bockes, both of Rhode Island, Timothy Hicks and his wife, Robin, of Massachusetts; and nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date, with details provided by the family.
