Mary Melissa Roberts, known to her loved ones as Missy, peacefully passed away Aug. 3 2023, in Knoxville, at the age of 54.
She was born Sept. 11, 1968, in Sparta, to John and Geraldine Hickey.
Missy will be remembered as a loving mother and cherished friend.
Missy’s passion and dedication were evident in her 28-year career as a cytotechnologist. She worked tirelessly, applying her skills and knowledge to make a meaningful impact. Missy’s commitment to her profession inspired those around her.
She is survived by her three daughters, Allissa Roberts, Lauren (Blenson) Desrosiers, and Victoria Roberts. Missy was eagerly awaiting the arrival of her grandson, Beau Desrosiers, to join her granddaughter, Mia Cooper. She is also survived by her parents; two sisters, Jill (Shane) Wheeler, Tiffany Monday; her nephew, Jon Monday; and niece, Cora Monday. Missy’s two dogs, Belle and Baylor, held a special place in her heart.
Funeral service was 2 p.m., Aug. 6, 2023, at Blue Spring Presbyterian Church. Friends and family were invited to gather in remembrance of Missy’s life and offer their support to one another during this difficult time.
Memorial donations may be made to the Blue Spring Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 83, Sparta, Tennessee 38583. Contributions made in Missy’s memory will honor her legacy and benefit the community she held dear.
Mary Melissa Roberts will forever be missed and remembered for her love, kindness, and unwavering dedication to her family and career. May she rest in peace.
