Paul Vance Gibbs Jr., 72, of Cookeville, passed away Nov. 21, 2023, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
He was born May 12, 1951, in Dayton, Ohio, and was the son of Paul Vance Gibbs Sr. and Emma Hoke Gibbs.
He was employed at Edd Rogers Chevrolet in the body shop for many years. He was a member of Cumberland Heights Church of Christ. He loved bluegrass and 60's music.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the mother of his daughters, Deborah Klein Gibbs.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Bright Gibbs, of Monterey; daughters, Angela Prater (Stacy), of Sparta, Pamela Bevis (Matt), of Sparta; stepdaughter, Myriah Guthrie (Matt), of Cookeville; grandsons, Joshua Vickers, Logan Prater; step-granddaughter, Sayrah Poston; sister, Patricia Weckel, of Kettering, Ohio; brother, Darryl Gibbs (Lisa), of Fairborn, Ohio; several nieces and nephews; and dog, Harriett.
Funeral service was 1 p.m., Nov. 27, 2023, at Cumberland Heights Church of Christ, with burial in Kinnaird Cemetery. Doug Downs officiated.
Memorial donations can be made to White County Animal Shelter.
Oak Lawn Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
