Randal "Randy" Andrews, 65, of Sparta (formerly of Westmoreland), went home to be with the Lord, on June 15, 2025.

He was born Sept. 26, 1959, in Scottsville, Kentucky, to Earl B. Andrews and Frances Wolfe Andrews.

Randy was converted, baptized, and joined Providence General Baptist Church, in August 1971. He was a founding member of the Gospelaires Quartet, in April 1972. In 1977, he was one of the founding members of the Andrews Family gospel group. He was a member of the East Alabama Gospel Music Association. God called Randy to preach in August 1982. He was licensed, in 1983, and ordained, in 1984. He pastored four churches: Mt. Moriah General Baptist Church, State Line General Baptist Church, Westmoreland General Baptist Church, and Garretts Creek General Baptist Church. Bro. Randy was a writer of gospel songs and books, and he was a teller of tales and a lover of laughs, but the two things he was most proud of was being a lover of God and his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Odell and Bertha McCormick Andrews and Hubert and Lois Minix Wolfe.

He is survived by his wife, Louetta Gann Andrews; his son, Caleb (Tiffany) Andrews; his daughter, Hayley (Chris) Johnsey; his grandchildren, Elijah, Tai, and Zak Andrews, Jack Johnsey, Callum Rand Johnsey; his sisters, Malinda (Earl) Stafford, Lorie (Troy) Prock; several nieces and nephews, Andrew, Adam, and Ashley Stafford, Stephanie, Stephen, and Daniel Bradley; as well as his great-nieces and nephews and many friends.

Funeral service as 1 p.m., June 18, 2025, at Woodard Funeral Home, with Pastor Kenny Hanner, Pastor Caleb Andrews, Deacon Kenny Hauskins, and Pastor Larry Emery officiating. Interment followed in the Providence Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers were Stephen Bradley, Elijah Andrews, Tai Andrews, Daniel Bradley, Tony Williams, Andrew Stafford, Chas Spears, and Jason Tirjan.

Woodard Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
