Reba Gladys Poston Massa, 79, of Sparta, passed away May 28, 2023, at her residence.
Mrs. Massa was born Aug. 26, 1943, in Sparta, to William Elmer and Clara Flatt Poston.
She retired from Doyle Shirt Factory. She enjoyed sewing, working in her garden, and going on errands with her husband, but her greatest enjoyment was her grandchildren. She loved being Granny to her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Gary Massa; sisters, Pauline Dodson, Mildred Poston, Dorsie Poston; and brothers, Bill, Bobby, Richard and Willie Poston.
Surviving family members include her husband of 57 years, O.V. Massa, of Sparta; two daughters, Debbie (Kelley) Magill-Massa, of San Diego, California, Donna (Denny) Bray, of Sparta; grandchildren, Kyle (Jill) Judd, Tyler (Chelsea) Judd; great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Eli and Watson Judd, Bella Parsons; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m., June 2, 2023, at Hunter Funeral Home, with burial in Elrod Cemetery. The family will receive friends 4-8 p.m., June 1, at the funeral home. Jeff Randolph will officiate.
Kyle Judd, Tyler Judd, Denny Bray, Dean Passons, Randy Tollison, and Todd Stoglin will serve as pallbearers.
Hunter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
