Roberta Eulene O’Dell Wilson, 88, of Sparta, passed away peacefully at her home, on July 28, 2020.
Mrs. Wilson was born May 29, 1932, in White County, to Franklin Joseph O’Dell and Semi Eddie Brock O’Dell.
She was a former shirt factory worker and retired from Mallory Timers. Mrs. Wilson was an avid gardener and worked in her flower gardens daily. In the Christmas season, she treated family and friends to her famous chocolate fudge.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bro. Fate Wilson; brothers, Clayton O’Dell, Kenneth O’Dell; and sisters, Betty Jo Luna and Shirley Hodge.
Survivors include her two sons, Michael R. Wilson and wife Carol, Roger Wilson and wife Margaret; grandchildren, Tracy Lowndes and husband Kerry, Michael Thomas Wilson and wife Sasha; great-grandchildren, Myra Elliott and husband Colby, Sarah Wilson, Sydney Wilson, Matthew Wilson; great-great-grandchildren, Emma and Eli Elliott; sisters, Elise Luna, Dean Masters and husband Ray; brothers, Terry O’Dell, Harold O’Dell; and several nieces and nephews.
In consideration of the current worldwide pandemic, a private family service was 11 a.m., July 31, 2020, at Hunter Funeral Home, with burial followed in Old Zion Cemetery. Tim Bumbalough officiated.
Hunter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
