Roberta Jean Keathley Strickland, 87, was led through Heaven's Gate by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Feb. 11, 2021, from her earthly home, in Warner Robins, Georgia.

A graveside service laying her to rest was 2 p.m., Feb. 20, 2021, at Meadowlawn Memorial Park, in Enterprise, Alabama. Roberta and her husband, Herb, resided in Enterprise for more than 35 years.

Roberta “Robbie” was born Feb. 26, 1933, in White County, Tennessee, to Robert Marvin Keathley and Marjorie Griffin Keathley.

She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmom, and great-grandmom who loved her family and always did her best to make certain their needs were met. Robbie enjoyed dancing, traveling, watching television, and just visiting with family and friends. Her greatest joy was her family: her beloved husband, Herbert, of 60 years; her two children, Tommy and Cheri; and any dog she had.

In addition to her parents, Roberta was preceded in death by her son, Robert Thomas “Tommy” Strickland; husband, Herbert Clay Strickland; and her brother, the Rev. Billy Carrol Keathley.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Cheri Strickland Wood, of Warner Robins, Georgia; her brother, Dale Keathley (Maureen), of Louisville, Kentucky; grandchildren, Christopher Lee Strickland (Emma), of Huntsville, Alabama, Brian Thomas Strickland, of Havelock, North Carolina, Brittany Lane Barrell (James), of Monroe, Georgia, Channing Leigh Gray (Michael), of Sandy Springs, Georgia, Landon Clay Wood, of Atlanta, Georgia, Dillon Thomas Wood, of Marietta, Georgia; great-grandchildren, Avalon Rose, Adeline Marie, Josephine Claire, Thomas Hugh Strickland, Loxleigh Bristol Barrell, Aylin Margaret Gray; one nephew, Rob Keathley (Ruth); and one niece, Lilianna Hanley (Joshua), of Loganville, Georgia.

Memorial donations be made to any animal rescue organization of your choice in her name.

Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory, in Warner Robins, Georgia, was in charge of arrangements.
