Russell Allyn Green, 66, went home to be with the Lord, on July 9, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was originally from White County/Sparta and lived a life marked by faith, love, and quiet strength.
Russell was a man of steady character and deep faith in Jesus Christ. Even through the challenges of illness, he remained hopeful and gracious, encouraging others around him with his quiet resilience. He was a loving father, a loyal brother, and a friend to many.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edd and Sarah Green, and brothers, Kevin Green and Edd "Eddie" Green Jr.
Russell is survived by two sons, Curtis Green and Michael Green, both of Ringgold, Georgia; siblings, Nancy Sobianek (Chris), of Doyle, Karen Bean, of Cookeville, Peggy Templeton, of Bella Vista, Arkansas; Cynthia McClure (Mark), of Murfreesboro, Steve Green, of Ringgold, Georgia; and numerous nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
According to Russell's wishes, the family will not be having a memorial service.
