Mr. Scott Douglas Griffin, age 59, of Sparta, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 7, 2026, at his residence.
Scott was born December 23, 1966, in Sparta, Tennessee, to the late Curtis Hill and Nina Mae Cope Griffin. Scott was a member of WCHS’s Class of ’85. He took great pride in his yard and enjoyed cutting his grass. He was an avid NASCAR fan, especially when the black #3 of Dale Earnhardt was leading the way, and the #8 of Dale Jr. was not too far behind. Scott will be fondly remembered for his sense of humor and his love for music.
A private graveside service was conducted on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Old Zion Cemetery.
